Hi,

Ive been doing quite a bit of reading on PANDORA and it looks a fantastic product.

I wanted to install FMS on windows and followed and old guide (V1.2) http://members.lycos.nl/crazybest/pandora/pandora_windows_installation_guide.html but had little success.  As i mentioned this was an old guide and a lot seems to have changed.

Rather than go through the issues i came up against i would like to know if anyone written a Windows install guide for V3.0?

Many Thanks

Hi,

I think that there isn't such documentation... My best try would be to use a 3.0 documentation and install php+perl+mysql+cygwin. I don't think that worth all the work and trouble to do that...

Are you able to use the vm image? I'ts quite simple and usefull. I used it to try pandora fms vm-image before I could install everything in my environment (CentOS).

By the way, the documentation says that there is only linux support for the server:

"Although you can work on any operating system with Perl 5.8 installed with iThreads enabled, it's recommended and is supported only on Linux, being the recommended distributions SUSE (SLES or OpenSuse) and Ubuntu / Debian. There have been people who have it working under BSD and Solaris systems. "
