Hi

Try to install first the dependecies available in the official web :

https://sourceforge.net/projects/pandora/files/

In the stable version folder you will see a folder for Tools and Dependencies, just install the packets for RHEL.

And then try installing Pandora FMS.

I already tried it. But those rpm's needs more dependencies. There is where yum doesnt find them

Code:
Loaded plugins: rhnplugin, security
Setting up Install Process
Examining perl-IO-Socket-Multicast-1.12-1.rhel5.i386.rpm: perl-IO-Socket-Multicast-1.12-1.i386
Marking perl-IO-Socket-Multicast-1.12-1.rhel5.i386.rpm to be installed
Resolving Dependencies
--> Running transaction check
---> Package perl-IO-Socket-Multicast.i386 0:1.12-1 set to be updated
--> Processing Dependency: perl(IO::Interface) >= 0.94 for package: perl-IO-Socket-Multicast
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
perl-IO-Socket-Multicast-1.12-1.i386 from /perl-IO-Socket-Multicast-1.12-1.rhel5.i386 has depsolving problems
  --> Missing Dependency: perl(IO::Interface) >= 0.94 is needed by package perl-IO-Socket-Multicast-1.12-1.i386 (/perl-IO-Socket-Multicast-1.12-1.rhel5.i386)
Error: Missing Dependency: perl(IO::Interface) >= 0.94 is needed by package perl-IO-Socket-Multicast-1.12-1.i386 (/perl-IO-Socket-Multicast-1.12-1.rhel5.i386)
 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
 You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
                        package-cleanup --dupes
                        rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
The program package-cleanup is found in the yum-utils package.

Sorry, I had made a mistake, these packets aren't available to download now. They  will be available soon in the next release.

Now you can try forcing the installation.

I successfully installed in Centos 5.5, but I had to install the dependencies first (http://www.openideas.info/wiki/index.php?title=Pandora_3.0:Documentation_en:CentOS_Install) and cpan. After that, the rpm console installed successfully. About the pandora_server, I gave up and installed from tgz.

Regards.

Thanks

Fianlly I decided to isntall it into a Debian machine.I used apatitude and all of the dependences were resolved. If i need to install it again in Red Hat, I'll follow your steps, Daniels.

Best regards,

Hi:

I have installed all the dependencies and the server without problem. But when I visit the console there is only the local agent status can be viewed. Other remote agent pointed to the pandora server can not be listed in the console. I am not sure whether is the firewall block the packet from the agent?

Make sure connection throughout port 41121/TCP is not blocked and make sure the service tentacle_serverd is running on your Pandora Server.

Greetings.
