Hi all,
I'm running Pandora Server and agents since a week now and when consulting the log file for the server I saw that the pandora_server/log/pandora_server.log file is 4.3MB big already!!

So maybe, it can be implemented a mechanism to clear the log file from old information (a number of days in the .conf file would be a great thing).

and even if I disbled debug there are many (2/3 of it) DEBUG: lines...
So There may be a problem here.

I'll mark it as bug.

Pandora server running on Linux Mandriva 2007.
bye

We have answered you at the bug list :-D

I think the problem is the verbosity parameter in the conf file, try to set it to 0.

This is not really a bug, but a config issue.

Ok, thanks, I didn't see this parameter.
But maybe it can be integrated in the syslog so we can have log rotation and gziping?

I just grep -lirc "syslog" /opt/pandora/ and didn't find anything relevant about integration in syslog (just to be sure I don't ask dumb question anymore :-)

thanks bye for now.

Pandora could generate alerts to syslog, but by default it uses its own logfile. If you set to verbosity 0 almost nothing will be generated on this log.

Thanks, I tried 1, it's ok now, nothing is generated but errors.

But I still think that it could be great to control the growth of the log files.
