We are currently testing PandoraFMS and everything is going well so far. However I am trying to do one thing that I can't seem to do. Let me explain the situation and then the problem. I would like to use learning mode almost exclusively due to the number of devices we will be monitoring. I am developing my own .deb that configures the agent for our environment using a number of variables. This way I can deploy agents and have them show up in the console with no human intervention. However I would like to apply a Host Alive check to all the devices we are monitoring and that's where things get tricky. When an agent checks in and is in learning mode there is no information regarding the IP of the device so the Host Alive remains in "Monitors Not Init" until an IP is added.

Is there a method by which the IP can be automatically added either through a field in agent config or a macro on the server side?

Hi marklpotter,

The feature you are looking for doesn't exists yet. In future versions of Pandora FMS agent there will be a field in XML to send agent IP to the server.

We hope this feature will be available in Pandora FMS v3.2-RC2.
