Could you please tell me if there is a way to send an email alert as "plain text".
I need this type of email for an application that can read email only in this kind of format.

Sure. Yoy only need to edit default email alert or create a new one with the format you want. Just keep a look for default alert... Its a inline-script to generate a small text dumped to sendmail commandline, here you could write anything you need.
