Why ?, I'll prefer MySQL, so MySQL  is too a FreeSoftware, what's the problem?, code will be more optimized if you code for a specific backend, and doesnt use a intermedium abstraction layer. So, this could get more bugs on a critical issue, if you really think that PostgreSQL could improve Pandora, it could be a good idea....
