Hi there,
I am pretty new and am not quite that handy with MySQL.
Question:
Can I install a pandora fms server onto a mythtv backend server ?
The mythtv server is using MySQL for its media library database.

I tried installing pandora fms but then it was talking about resetting a MySQL root password and stuff like that and I got scared rendering my nice mythtv backend server useless for my video watching.

It would be the ideal machine to put pandora on though, since it is already running 24/7 .

Can I install Pfms onto an existing system that uses MySQL for its database?
How are the passwords managed ?

If there is anybody out there that could help me, it would be appreciated !

Thanks,
johenkel

p.s. Oh, the server is an AMD-64bit Ubuntu machine, just upgraded to 11.04 - last night ! ;)

Whene resetting your MySQL root password and login, you only have to put the current one. Like that, mythtv wont have any problemes with it.
