Hi Jellf,

  Have you tried the docs?

Take a look and post here your doubts, so we can help you out.

Hi Jellif.

Sorry for the late reply..  I don't use SNMP monitoring yet and I'm not familiarized with this feature :-(

To use Ip/Host you have to create an agent (for remote monitoring) or to deploy an agent (for local monitoring). I deployed pandora agents in most of my servers.

  Is this helpful for you?

Regards.

Hi Jellif.

In Pandora it's possible to do a "client/server" monitoring, but it's also possible to configure Pandora to connect to the monitored servers to get information (using plugins or network checks).

I deployed agents in all servers that I monitor and configured them to gather specific information to send to the pandora server. In some monitored servers I use them both, the agent and the plugin to get information.

(sorry about the late reply... I was looking for replies in the wrong forum) :-(

Regards.

Hi!

If you want to monitor a remote machine or appliance with SNMP. You have to create a remote monitor, then select a snmp monitor type, and then you put the IP and the version of snmp

in these link can explain much better than me

http://www.openideas.info/wiki/index.php?title=Pandora_3.0:Documentation_en:Operations#Monitoring_with_Network_Modules_like_SNMP

thanks
