Pandora FMS: Newbie needing help with Linux agent

    Hi,

    I've got the v3.0 SVN server installed and I've installed the agent on the same server, I've opened the tentacle port in the firewall.

    What I'm confused about is the definitions of modules in the agent config file and them not appearing in the server.

    I can assign the Linux server profile which seems to use SNMP rather than the agent plugins.

    Could someone explain how I get that agent plugin data, such as memory usage into the server? Where do I need to look to see the log files to check if the agent is sending the data?

    I've got it working now - the tentacle process wasn't running.

    I needed to change permissions on the data_in directory as server runs as root and tentacle couldn't write to the directory.

    The init script doesn't work for starting and stopping tentacle - it hangs until you CTRL-C out and then it tells you it's started correctly and continues to run. Is there a log file anywhere for it?
